Yesterday was the last elementary school knitting class. We had a blast with 18 kids in there! Whew. Luckily, I had help from a couple of wonderful knitters. I didn’t get any pictures (for student safety), but it was a whirlwind. Some kids completed a small beanbag, a couple had most-of headbands, and several were about a third done with a scarf. Everyone learned to do the knitted cast on and the knit stitch, so we’re calling it a win!
The last class, we made pompoms, which was so much fun, I’m going to share the tutorial with you. (click to download the pdf). A couple of years ago, the kids and I got so excited that we made a whole pompom garland for our mantel.
If I had the whole week to get your Gradient Club and All Wrapped Up shipments out, I totally would! But with the holiday, it looks like they will be starting to ship out Saturday or Monday, or whenever the next postal day after the holiday falls.
The All Wrapped Up Club packages are finished, just waiting for the pattern. The Gradient Club is next to package!
I’m not one to just run out and get new decor at the drop of a hat, but how could I resist this huge knitted pouf? It’s perfect for resting your feet as you watch the new Modern Family. I love that the official name of this furniture article is actually Pouf.
