Wow, it’s so much fun in the Silk Moon Crescent KAL; so many wonderful knitters choosing from new and stash yarns, trying new combinations, and knitting up a multi-colored storm.
Thanks to everyone who’s knitting; it’s just a blast to watch your progress and hear your thoughts. And a big thanks to Susan B Anderson for participating and bringing her blog-reading friends with her! She is such a dear person and amazing designer.
And, drum roll, please…. the yarn for the grand prize just arrived; three skeins of Noro Kureyon in color 284.
After all of the shawls are done, one lucky knitter will take home this little bounty, enough for a second shawlette.
I am so proud of all of the knitters; many are just flying through this pattern, with several people finished already! And some brave-hearted new knitters are giving it a go, too, and doing quite well. 🙂 If you’ve got some Noro in your stash, or about 400 yards of any worsted-weight yarn, I do hope you’ll join us, there’s still plenty of time to finish at least one.
For my own KAL project, I’m using Noro Kureyon from stash, little balls I’ve been saving for years, In fact, the one on the top left is from the very first project I ever knit (a garter-stitch scarf, of course!). I’m wondering how adventurous to get; I know that several of the balls are coordinating colorways, but then I kind of want to throw the green and bright pink into the mix and see what happens….
Here’s my start:
Ready to add the next ball…
Please do come to the party in the Silk Moon KAL group, at least to say hi and encourage the knitters, but we hope you’ll join in the fun!
