  1. I’ve never been lucky enough to knit or crochet with Malabrigo, so I can’t say I have a favorite. I’d love any color I could get my hands on, but I’d love any darker blues/greens/browns/oranges – you know, fall colors 🙂

  2. I use the HECK out of the Sock. Scarflettes, scarves, socks, socks, socks, little stuffed animals for my girls and others. Lurvely stuff. I’ve used the Rios for a hat but I keep heading back to Sock.
Favorite colors are Boticelli Red, Archangel, and Machu Picchu

  3. Sock is my favorite and in colors Cote D’Azure, Ravelry Red and Lettuce – but that just a start.

  4. I have two malabrigo yarns. One is waiting to be made into a hat. The other was a frogged ambrosia mitten! It’s so yummy and soft!
My favorite colors are blue graphite, Persia and lettuce.

  5. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Malabrigo Worsted and my favorite colors are Stonechat, Burgundy and Charrua, if I had to pick only 3. 🙂

  6. Mal sock is my favourite, overall, although I use anything Mal very happily. Favourite colourways: Inditeca, Archangel & Stonechat.

  7. I’m knitting with Sily Merino for the first time, and I love it. My fav colors are Arco Iris, Raspberry and Bee. Thanks!

  8. I like both Chunky and worsted weights in this yarn. I have knit with the worsted and have some chunky in my stash just waiting for the perfect project. I am a fan of yellow so my favorite colors, at the moment, are sunset, pollen, sm gold.

  9. I’ve never used Malabrigo and I just spent 10 minutes on their site trying to pick 3 favorite colors. Too many beautiful choices!

  10. I’ve never had the pleasure to knit with Malabrigo. I like almost every color but orange, yellow and brown.

  11. I’ve never had the pleasure to knit with Malabrigo. I like almost every color but orange, yellow and brown.

  12. Haven’t had a chance to knit with it yet but I’d love to give it a try. Blues, greens and greys are the colors I’m loving right now!

  13. Chunky! Love it! And someday I can’t wait to get my hands on the Rasta! Please don’t make me pick my favorite colours, isn’t not an easy thing to do 😉 I do lean towards the colours of fall leaves, and stay away from pinks.

  14. I like Malabrigo’s Silky Merino in “Stonechat,” “Lilita,” and “London Sky” — although, admittedly, all of their colorways are lovely. Now I just wish I had an excuse to purchase and use them. 🙂

  15. The sock yarn is the only one I’ve used and I love it. It’d be great to have a chance to play with some worsted!
As for favorite colorway, Malabrigo has so many beautiful colors, my favorites change every time I look through them. The ones that are calling out to me today are the periwinkle, the verde esperanza, and the forest.

  16. I love Malabrigo Sock. I have a considerable stash of Violetta Africana, but also have really loved Impressionist Sky and Lettuce for a long time.

  17. My fave Malabrigo yarn is Malabrigo sock and my top three fave colors are Terracotta #802, Botticelli Red #801, and Chocolate Amargo #812

  18. I’ve never used Malabrigo. I’d love to try some of the worsted. There are too many to pick 3 favorites but the browns are calling me, especially the rich chocolate.

  19. I love the Silky Merino. I’m using it to make a lovely, lovely baby set. My favorite 3 colorways…ah, at least for the moment it’s indiecita, stonechat, and oh dear piedras (gorgeous!).

  20. Hard to choose just three–solis, aguas and azules would be three I’d pick today. Tomorrow I sure will be three others.

  21. I’ve only admired Malabrigo from afar, but I’d love to try any of the lines – they look so wonderful. For the solids, I really like the Blue Graphite in the Worsted. Lovely!

  22. I’ve not had the luck to try Malabrigo yet, as I don’t have a local yarn store that stocks it. Hopefully one day I will.
I like the look of the Ravelry Red, Ochre and Cordoven in sockweight to knit a Daybreak shawl.
    Dreaming…

  23. I’m a fan of all the bases – but especially twist. In lettuce. abril. violetas. lettuce. azul profundo. cumparsita. lettuce. indiecita. archangel. and lettuce.
I’ve wanted some carrot for ever – perhaps to go with lettucs?

  24. I love Malabrigo Rios. Ohhhh I guess my top three would include Azul profundo, Azules, and Paris Night. I really love them all though.

  25. I think I’m in love with Sock 🙂 I have a love of sock yarn and I think I need to have a bigger affair with it.
Colors? Yes, I like those…I shy away from reds, oranges, and yellows (and various shades thereof, like pink) but I don’t say “no” to them. I love blues, greens, purples, greys, and that whole color scheme.

  26. It’s a toss up between silky merino and worsted, however, my current fave colors are manzanilla olive, azul azul, and lettuce.

  27. I’ve never had the chance to use Malabrigo 😦 but of the worsted there are some really beautiful colors I’d love to try. I like the Hollyhock, Jacinto, and the Sapphire Magenta (just to name a few, there are so many pretty colors!

  28. I have always loved the lime/blue worsted-then I got some Bobby Blue silky merino for a cowl and love that as well.

  29. I’ve only had the chance to knit with the lace yarn – a citron shawl, one of my favorite handknits! – and the colorways I spend the most time longing for are Verdes, Lime Blue, and Cosecha!

  30. Tosh Sock is my favorite in colors: Olivia, Norway Spruce and Betty Draper’s Blue. This yarn washes up so well and becomes soft like cashmere!

  31. Lately i have been lovin rios because of the superwash
    my favorite colors are
    ravelry red
    purple mystery
arco iris*** i want to find a good sweater pattern for this color

  32. I love Malabrigo worsted! Right now Polvoriento, Uva and Black Forest are my favorites but really I love them all. I somehow always manage to “need” just one more skein whenever I go to the yarn store 🙂

  33. I’ll confess to having had a recent, brief, love affair with Rasta, but my True Love is worsted. If I MUST choose only three colors, then Sauterne, Molly, and Tuareg would go to the top of my list.
My LYS has trouble keeping Malabrigo in stock, and lets us know on a Rav group post when a new shipment comes in.

  34. I am only familar with the Malabrigo Sock yarn, so I guess it is my favorite. I love blues like Caribeno or Persia or Aguas.

  35. My favourite yarn is Sock and my top three colours (not necessarily in order) are Botticelli Red, Chocolate Amargo, and Persia.

  36. I love Merino Worsted and I love all the colors! But, what I love at the moment are Cuarzo, Bijou Blue, and Pale Khaki. So hard to pick!

  37. I am a newer knitter and I have not yet had the pleasure of using Malabrigo yarn. (although I hear it all the rage) I think I woukd try it in a sock yarn first and anything bright.

  39. My favorite Malabrigo yarn (so far!) is Chunky. My top three colors are 246 Hummingbird, 44 Geranio, and 186 Buscando Azul, though I must admit that the three pictured here in this post would be hard to top for this coming spring. Thanks for the giveaway! I’m gkgreen on Ravelry.

  40. I’ve only ever knit with the Merino Worsted but I love it for hats – super soft. Hats seem to be a good way to use a single ply yarn, too.
I like the solids and kettle dyes best… The greens call to me (especially Cypress and Lettuce) as do some neutrals (Tortuga!).
I’d love to try some other Malabrigo yarns but it can be hard to find them in stock at shops – they are so popular!

  41. I love Pearl 10, Alpine Pearl, Polar Morn, Paris Night, Rich Chocolate, Velvet Grapes…shall I go on? I LOVE Malabrigo!

  42. Right now I have Malabrigo Chunky in a burgandy waiting to get onto needles for a sweater so that would be my favorite. Love it.

  43. I haven’t knit a project with Malabrigo, yet. I have a small amount of worsted that I like to pet, though. And the colors, so many beautiful colors. I’d have to say my favorites are Cadmium, Vermillion and Apple Green.

  44. Seriously? I’m supposed to pick JUST THREE favorites? Is that even possible??? For a favorite weight, I’m torn between good old Malabrigo worsted (the single twist) and their beautiful lace-weight – one of my favorite things is a short lace scarf I made out of Charurra. Last spring my favorite was Sapphire Magenta, but that was only after a looooooooong debate with myself, poring over colorway on the Malabrigo site. But really, I don’t think I could only pick three – from their tonals like Sealing Wax or Azul Profundo to the variegateds (Charrura!!) like Noviembre or Plena – they are all just too beautiful for words. Seriously.

  45. They’re all great, but I’m a worsted devotee. Color is hard- I think… Frank Ochre, Glitter, and Dusty.

  48. Great giveaway!
My favorite line is Twist, and my three top colorways are:
    Stonechat
    Indiecta
    Liquidambar
My favorite hat that I have is Alex Tinsley’s FooFoo Beret that I did in Mal Twist Stonechat… it’s SO WARM!!

  49. Although I have heard wonderful things about Malabrigo yarn I have never had an opportunity to use it so I don’t know which one I would like. My favorite colors are those of the ocean, blues, and greens.

  50. I’ve only used one Malibrigo yarn – sock in the Aquus colorway which was an absolute pleasure. I would love to try Rasta or the merino worsted. The colors are amazing Violeta Africana, Archangel, and of course Ravelry Red. Rav amchart

  51. Oh malabrigo. I love the worsted in tuareg. In fact, I’ve made multiple projects with it. The sock base in Ravelry Red has also been quite lovely. Just the right shade of red. I’m also quite partial to glazed carrot in worsted, as orange is a wardrobe staple of mine.

  52. I’ve also never had the pleasure of mmmmalabrigo yarns but I hear very good things and I would most like to try thier sock yarn.
I like solid/semi solids so I would go for Lettuce, Terracotta, and Impressionist Sky.
(I also love the Violetta Africana but I already have some purple yarn in stash)

  59. I’ve always wanted to try Silky Merino – it seems to glow – but thus far I’ve only used Merino Worsted. My favorite colorways are 622 SFO Sky, 241 Dusty olive and 246 Hummingbird. Thank you for the generous giveaway!

  60. My favorite Malabrigo yarn? ALL OF IT! But I suppose if pressed I could say Chunky, and the colors would be Stonechat, Pagoda and every shade of blue – especially Azul Profundo. Thanks for all the generous giveaways, and even more for the great e-zine. I can be emailed thru my blogger profile

  61. this is crazy but i have never knit with malabrigo before! i know it’s crazy but i have only been knitting for a couple of years and am just now venturing out to the nicer yarns! i would love to win this!
