This lovely little lace hat uses the Fibonacci Sequence as inspiration for the top shaping, making for a lovely swirling shape that perfectly echoes the curved lace of the body.

  1. My favorite SpringTree yarn is the Praline DK in Perfect Poppy. That color rocks and I love the poppy inspiration. It is very evident that was the inspiration. I like that this color is also available in other bases, it just makes more sense to me when I buy from indie dyers if I can get the color I love in the weight of yarn I “need” at that time. I was planning on making this hat and I am even more excited by the use of the Fibonacci Sequence. Thanks for the chance.

  2. I tend to like knitting with DK weight yarn the best. I’ll knit with pretty much anything, but I love DK! A bit lighter than worsted, but not quite as fine as sport.🙂

  3. Well I’m a very impatient person, so anything worsted and larger is usually my favorite, so I can finish a project quickly! However, I HAVE been known to knit (and even sometimes finish!) socks, and that Midnight Rider sock yarn is awfully pretty….
